I've been driving 170 Km's today. Autobahn, mountain roads (checking the location for the next meet) and city driving. I finally had 27mpg. Not bad for a 545iA...

I had fun, lots of it. But I agree, it could have been more. I just wanted to know how far I can go when driving "normally", like it would be a usual car.
If I really watch the fuel consumption I can get more out of it, if I drive it like a bimmer it'll be less.
I was just impressed by getting this result, even with driving in the mountains and in the city, and without watching the fuel consumption.

Geez. I wish we were getting mpg like that. Ours is 18-19mpg.
On a side note, it is so nice that our mpg is actually accurate now! It took SO long for them to believe us that the MPG was off by 25%! At least it is fixed now.

They said it was set up in the system wrong-- something about being on UK gallons instead of US gallons. Why the 2 previous dealers didn't find this is beyond me. It was still off, by a little bit, and then the complete software update brought it to almost exactly correct.

My wife took this one when we were en route to Spain. 42.8 MPG, 323 miles and still over 1/2 a tank to go
Not quite the performance of a 545, but the diesels do have some advantages!

I still get low 30's with flat roads and conservative driving, although no one believes me.
