I sometimes have 15-20L in the city w a diesel but when I go on the freeway it is 6,8-8,2.
So depends on many things, sometimes I can use the manual mode so it is better consumption but if I go uphill -80% with the steptronic it is high, but I do not care it is only the computer I am sure that the avarage is less than that.

My Ride: 2006 525i Jet Black (Base + PDC)
It depends on when you 'reset' the reading. Initially, the reading could be high. For example, if you reset it while you start your car in the morning, it will go to like 24 or even 30 l/100km. As you start driving, it will drop...it could take a while before it drops back to normal. If you keep NOT resetting it for a while, the 'average' effect will make the morning start effect smaller, then you won't see the big difference during starting.

OK - it's not that fair, because I didn't drive that many kilometers (as you can see) - but it was some fun kilometers - love the V8 sound
