Indeed it is in the manual, but the point is that the manual is not very clear on the length of driving time required to initialize. To quote the manual, "It takes a few minutes before the FTM can detect and report a flat tire". Well, after a few minutes I was ready to park the car and call my dealer to report that the FTM wasn't functioning properly. Simply pointing out that it takes is some patience, giving more than just a few minutes to initialize.
