MA requires it. No plate, no inspection sticker.
My front bumper already had the plate holes and mount so I kept it on but I might take it off if I get an M replica or Rieger.

I have my front plate, CA law requires it. I prefer not to take my chances, I am already hispanic in a BMW - do they need ANOTHER reason to pull me over?

California Vehicle Code Section 5200: License plates are issued by the department for use upon a vehicle, they shall be attached to the vehicle for which they were issued, one in the front and the other in the rear.
The rest of section 5200 delineates where and how the plates must be fastened to the vehicle. If you receive a ticket for not displaying front plate (which i have many times) its fix a ticket. So you either pay the fine or get a front plate attach it and have an officer sign off on it. Now a days parking meter attendant have been issuing no front plate tickets as well. I am assuming this is because CA is trying to get money anywhere possible. This is where the situation really gets bootleg because i have parked my car at meters to return and see no front plate tickets on my baby issued by METER MAIDS!
