So I've accumulated 3 tickets over the past 2 months in CA for not having a front license plate...Is there anyway to temporarily put the license plate on for inspection then take off w/o drilling into your front bumper?

I've looked into buying the front plate holder (lost mine), and it costs almost $70 at the dealership (not to mention the add'l cost of having to have it painted!)... Not only do i not want to pay for that, i really don't want to drill holes...

PLEASE ANY ADVICE HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

THANK YOU

how did you get the tickets? were you at a checkpoint of some sort, or did a cop just pull you over on the freeway for having no front plate? where in california?

I'm curious because i'm in norcal and haven't had a problem (yet)

I think there is a device for quick flipping the license plate, you can use a button to hide and show it. I don't recall what it was called though, maybe stealth plate.?

pulling into LAX there is a checkpoint, or just the officers that like to circle the terminals tend to pass that one out....also, you can get this ticket while parked, vehicle unattended...

I've been to LAX several times and I guess I have been lucky so far. I do try to avoid the cops by driving really slow or hide in between cars.
Thanks for the info, I guess LAX Cops are really that bored!

I average 3 tickets per year for no front plate here in Illinois. The front plates are hideous so it is worth it.
