I just got my mtech kit last month and of course i didnt put on the front license plate! Yesterday, i get pulled over for no lic plate

i believe from my last no license plate ticket, the police told me a minimum of two bolts is required on the front lic plate. My question to you guys is, can the front lic plate be put down on the bottom grill with two bolts? Would it be acceptable?

especially for the meets, members have zip-tied the plate on the lower grill and get away with it. not 100% sure but I believe the exact words on that is that the front plate needs to be "mounted", so not necessarily bolted?

I have never put front plates on any of my cars. They look fugly. But I also keep my vehicle registration paper stuck on my windshield to help. I agree with Nerwill, it can be mounted any way as long as it's mounted.

i have the first one. works but it looks fugly. i keep it in the trunk. i was once pulled over and i told the cop that i just had my car towed but i had proof in my trunk that i had the plate on. it worked. worse case scenario you get a ticket and then go to the chp location install the plate and get it signed off.
