After fitting Halogen LCI lights to replace my existing pre-LCI halogen lights, all is well, and working fine.

However, I have noticed of a few LCI lights, that the angel eyes are really bright - a lot brighter than mine, which I presume is only on the latest models coming out to comply with the 'Daylight running Lights' which are to come into force in a couple of years.

My question is, what is different in my LCI lights to these, and can mine be changed to make the Angel eyes just as bright?

I know the differences to the Xenon and Halogen LCI's, and that there is not much in the way of after market bulbs for the halogen LCI's, but the new cars I have seen were Halogen lights, but with very bright Angel eyes......

Any idea's???

Cheers

Stuart, I have not seen a difference in brightness on LCI halogens. Will look out for it though.

Problem is, that unless you are quite close, it isn't that easy to tell if halogen or Xenon if only the angel eyes are on.

Regards,

Regards,
I was lucky, as the guy was parking in a car park near me, so went over and had a chat with him, and he kindly put on his lights to let me check whether they were xenon or not, and they were halogen....

No, never went with them, as found I could wire them in without, but even so, I have a 12v supply going to my Angel Eyes, and therefore they are as bright as they are going to get, with or without the light module.

The lights I am talking about are similar to the ones you now see on the latest 3 series too...

did you uses a relay for the angeleyes? Do you get any error messages?

The reason yours aren't as bright as Xenon LCI is because Xenons use a 35W H8 bulb and Halogen LCIs use a 10W BA9 bulb
