I'm replacing my chrome front grills with black ones here in about a week. I've searched the forums, but am not having any luck finding DIY information on grill replacement. Do these things just clip in or what Thanks for the assistance!

If you want more references, then should go to the DIY thread first and type in the word "grille" in the search box. You should see more useful threads showing up. GL.

And the lightbulb finally comes on! I originally only searched the general E60 discussion thread as opposed to "all forums". That little drop down menu on the right of the search box is there for a reason

Thanks guys.

No worries. We've all learned it the hard way.

Just follow the DIY guides in this forum. I did mine about a week ago. Just be careful with the tabs taking old grills out and putting in new ones. If you can do it without breaking at least one tab your a better man then me. lol. Really though it was a pretty easy install. Good luck!

And just to add, especially when it comes to the cheaper non OEM black replacement grills, the tabs do break easily

I appreciate all of the tips. One more question for you on the matter. I purchased the OEM goss black grills because I'm unsure of the quality ofthe Matte black units. Can anyone recommend a quality matte black replacemet from a reputable seller?

Thanks!
