Front bumper / spoiler ripped off !!!!!!!
Well I found out that the concrete wheel stops which caused this damage is non-compliant with Australian Standards AS2890.1:2004, which stipulates a max height of 100mm. These wheel stops were WAY over that height!
I will try to seek compensation from the property owners based on the fact that their wheel stops are non-compliant, and causing damage to other people's private property!!!

You mentioned Australian Standard... you from Melbourne by any chance? Mind telling me where the parking spot was? sad to hear the damages man... I feel you because I've done that twice now.
And I can't believe a stock 530i M-Sport Pack would be damaged that much... the curb must have been very high!! Sorry to hear!
Anyway, if you're from Melbourne, I seriously think we all should have a meet-up one of these days!

There are a lot of scrape marks and chips on those wheel stops from past cars parking there. I'm not the only one who's had damage caused by these by the looks of it.

Imagine if they had that kind of law in NYC after this winter with potholes being over 100mm DEEP...lol..
The older wheel stops were designed for older cars, which had a higher ride height. Newer cars like ours have lower spoilers, so they will probably just say I wasn't careful enough.
Then again, if they are not compliant with Australian Standards, then they are potentially liable. That's what I'm hoping anyway!
HA! I do the same thing now. I was in Edmonton for a soccer tournament and I parked the car with the front hanging over the concrete block slightly. Then one day when I was back home, I went to wash the car and noticed that the rubber piece under the front (non-sport package car) was dislodged from 2 of its bindings. I then realized that it was because of where I parked in Edmonton. From then on, I park well behind the concrete blocks in all our vehicles.
