Hi Guy's

For over 6 months I have been driving my car and not using the radio as its such bad reception, I always thought it was the Diversity antenna, just never got round to getting it replaced. Anyway today I noticed that my radio was fully working on a drive back from London, as you can imagine I was really happy, anyway about another hour down the road I noticed that my Lights were taken off the Auto position and were off, so i flicked the lights to ON and imedately the radio became poor.

I have now tested it 100%, soon as i put the lights on the radio reception becomes unusable.

Has anyone ever come a cross this, is there anything i can do ?

I have also noticed that my rear number plates lights have started to flash every now and then, not sure if this is related?

Thanks

Sounds like you have a hack job in there somewhere. The LM (light module) I believe controls the and is a bit close to the M-ASK or CCC. What are the stats of your car? Any accessories? Anyone worked on your car?

Most likely You have changed one of the bulbs. I have same problem with angel eyes purchased from ebay member motoringmax. Ever since i have my lights on my reception gets terrible.

If this is true, it's either a logical issue (software) or physical (physical) lol. If nothing changed AT ALL, I would think it to be software related.

Interesting point you have made, i will be trying this out on the way home tonight, my lights are always on auto, and my radio reception is shocking. I even had it in at the stealers, and they could find nothing wrong with it.

I just assumed it was my bad luck and that?s the way it was.

Now I?ve got something else to try.

Will report back

I think the guilty one is the xenon's drosser.
You may try pulling out one after another the headlight connectors and try the radio.
I don't think it's a problem with the LMA module.
