Not sure if it's ever been different since I bought the car in 2012 ('08 LCI 535xi), but whenever I start the car the steering wheel drops right to the bottom of its travel and I have to move it up to see gauges clearly. Manual says its position can be set in memory but that is not working. Seat/mirror/radio/hvac memory is working OK.

Now, I could track down and fix the problem, or just code out the auto-up/down steering wheel since I'm 99% primary driver. I'm still limber enough to not need the wheel out of the way for entry/exit.

Or is this a common problem that I just cannot find in search?
