Folding Mirrors - Whining

My passenger side mirror (left side as UK
) seems to make a whining sound when they fold in when I activate them with the remote key. It sounds like the folding mechanism is going beyond the folded limit. Think I remember someone had the same problem on this forum but can't find it and I'm not sure whether its a known E60 issue.
Anyone experience this and if so how was it resolved by the dealer?
Cheers

It's exactly near the left/right mirror adjustment switch. It's the same shape, but it is just a not retaineable push button.

I also have the "whining" noise on the passenger side. It comes and goes, but surfaces especiallly after I wash the car. Applied some WD-40 some time ago - haven't heard anything since...we'll see.
