Fluids Change
#1
I'm approaching 30K miles on my 2008 535i. I've had the engine oil changed every 7500 miles. The car is approaching 30K miles now. I think I read in Bimmer World mag that they recommend changing all fluids at the 30K milestone: engine, transmission and differential.
Anyone have any opinions on that? Is it really necessary to change the transmission and differential oil?
Thanks in advance for the response.

If you plan on keeping your car longer than the warranty period then Mike Miller, the technical editor for the BMW Car Club, recommends changing the differential fluid, and power steering fluid at 30k; the engine coolant every 2-years, and the automatic transmission fluid at 60k miles. I change the oil (BMW Synthetic) every 7500 miles, too. I plan on following Mike's advice because I am keeping my car for a long time past the warranty.
