no wires were loosened. I simply removed the after Market stuff and put back the original and everything worked again. I even tested it one at a time, so I replaced the one side with the original and AHL worked. but the other didn't, then I replaced the second and all was ok.

One day I will attempt to reinstall the after market lights to see if AHL disables itself. Probably on the weekend.

auto lights are stupid, you might as well get on a bus or train.

2004 545i with AHL.

Has anyone ever heard of the LED flashing light by the headlight switch BECAUSE the fog light bulbs were replaced with different wattage (80 vs 51) or anything else concerning the fog lights?

My LED just stated flashing... although I cannot recall if it started flashing when I replaced the fog light bulbs.

Thanks!

Okay... so would it be co-incidental that I just had my car in to change out the water pump and assorted coolant hoses and it seems that the issue started the day I got my car back? I need evidence!

Default Got the blinking AHL light after putting in after-market halos too.

Changed the halo's and got the blinking light. I was so proud of myself. Hate to have to put the originals back in. The headlights still level, so it's not the motors. The maker of the halo's said that the BMW system would recognize them. False advertising? Is there a way to make the work without taking them out and replacing the originals? LED's look so much better.
