and why most of the car in this forum doesnt have one like mine??
is it removable?? since the flap automatically open when it reach certain temp,
does this mean i need to reprograme the car if i want to remove it??? any DIY to remove it?
planning to buy RPI scoop from trinity
here i post some photos what it looks like:

The flaps are fitted to SE spec cars. They are there to help the engine reach operating temp quicker then they open, it makes the car more efficient. M sports have never had the flaps fitted though. Cant help with the removal as thats all i know about them.

I just read about this at my dealer last week, maybe in the F10 catalogue I was looking at? Can't remember seems to be a good idea where its cold so that the engines can come up to operating temp quicker.

Surely it doesn't really matter, as the flaps open when the car reaches operating temperature anyway?

It makes sense in the colder climates, but with the newer electric water pump it may be moot.
