Question

So, I drove into a pothole yesterday. It was very dark night, due to the rain. The street just absorbed all light and I couldn't see the pothole.
There's this road construction nearby and I was returning home. Luckily my speed was only about 20-25 km/h (14-17 mph) at that area so it didn't make damage, but damn that bang was loud and hard!

At first I was sure I damaged both my right side wheels, but fortunately I didn't. After immediate investigation I took the car to the highway to feel any vibrations at higher speeds. Nothing. I felt SO relieved...

If I had gone to 20"s instead of 19"s this summer, I'm quite sure that would have done it.

Well, that's about it, just wanted to share the experiment/relief.
Have a nice weekend everybody and drive safe!

Wait a minute... you mean what?
Are you running 20"s with higher profile than "normally"? How does it fit, any rubbing?

19s usually have /35/19 front and /30/19 rear and Im running /35/20 and /30/20. recommended are /30/20 and /25/20. I did rub before but Ive had my fenders cut/rolled to accomodate the tires still rub just a tiny bit on occasion on sharp turns while driving a bit spirited but other than that no rubbing.

Ugh a few potholes annihilated my last rims on my lexus. Hit one so bad with it when I had my stock 17's it blew the tire out and bent the rim ridiculously. This thing was more of a meteor hole. Couldnt see it because a damn truck was in front of me. Glad your rims/you are good. I wish BMW had some sort of warning system for potholes. Whoever patents that thing up is going to make mucho dinero
