Default First BMW!

Hey all,
Super excited to be an owner of a 550i BMW! Found it on Craigslist (wrecked) and now I'm excited to jump into this project. Pics to come. The guy I bought it from hit someone with the front end, crinkling both front fenders, the hood, and cracked the bumper to pieces. The engine, radiator, and all other components are all fine Also the drivers air bag did deploy. Now sparing the "in needs to be fixed by a qualified BMW shop" and "you'll never get you money" posts. I have no intentions of trying to turn a profit on this thing. I'm just a sucker for a good tinkering project and love a N/A V8. Well that and I am absolutely obsessed with manual cars, seriously driving my automatic Ford Fusion for a year has me gasping for some transmission control!
Anyway, What all things should I look at as far as getting this thing on the road?
I've read about the BST, but are there any fuel related shut off safeties? What other hidden demons should I expect to find? I'm heading to a pull apart this weekend to Frankenstein this thing back together and want to have a pretty thorough parts list built.

Thanks!

You probably already know the whole front clip on E60 is aluminium, right? Tricky repairs if rad header or headlight frames or inner aprons are doof. Pix will help.
