I know that a lot of you can relate. I have been checking Owner's Circle waiting for my car to move beyond "On Order." It was supposed to start production 6 days ago, but then just didn't progress forward. Tonight I checked and the car is finally "scheduled for production" and has been assigned a VIN! From other's experience how long am I looking at from this point?

From this point 5-6 weeks. Also keep in mind that the web site has been reported to have a 3-5 day lag on it for some reason.

I'm in production too! Called BMWNA and through their automated system found out that it should be built by Oct. 5th....I can almost smell that new leather.

Congrats!! My 2005 went into production first week of September and is currently near Panama. I am guessing an additional 3-4 weeks before it arives at my dealer.

Keep us posted. This forum is great for learning about your new vehicle.

Mine flipped over to "scheduled for production" on the owners circle web site today. When i called BMWNA about 2 weeks ago they said it would be built the week of Oct. 4 with shipment about 2 weeks later. They gave me hope the car could actually be delivered in late October. We'll see.

Interesting thing that by checking on the BMW 1-800 number's automated system that since yesterday my E60's completion date has been backed up several times. Bigger scheme of things is no big deal, just surprised that they don't have it down to a science.

Finally, my 545 also starts moving in Dingolfing Plant. I can see the VIN assigned at OC web today. It is exiting that the new-born baby is getting matured everyday....
