The car is a beauty...sorry for the ding in your windshield but as Rudy pointed out count your blessings that it was your windshield instead of your body

Enjoy!!!

Wow...it's been a while since I have seen than many zeros in front of the first number on the odometer!
Congrats...I really like that color combo too!

Hey Lee-

Congrats on the car. Don't let the excitement end! Mine hasn't 3 years later!
As for the shield.. I'm on my 4th. I have 70K highway miles (alot of freeway driving in Utah will easily destroy a large piece of glass )
Don't let it bug you - you'll get it replaced and move-on and smile at the past.
MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH MY CAR WAS GETTING A ROCK CHIP LAST YEAR RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE HUD!!! Had to stare at the chip for 3 months before gettin the windshield replaced. LOL Made me humble. (Not that I compare to Job in anyway).

Anyway - once again. I'm a jealous chap. Great color choice. Squeeze every bit of enjoyment out of this car that you can brother!

haha. if you're asking how many windshields since i started to drive.. That would be a very difficult one to estimate.
I've had over twenty cars. Haven't had to do as much driving as I have for the last ten years or so. I'd probably say I've had about thirty windshields. I'm keeping someone in business eh?
It's really my insurance company that's taking the biggest hit. I think they hate me. When I call my insurance agent, he USED to answer his phone

cheers.

get a bmw windhsheild - I had a Miata and went thru5 windsheilds in 3 years - all of out bmws have gotten chips - they never spread - plus when a deer tried to jump over my 3 series it smashed in the roof and crushed in the windsheild - but it held - in the miata - I'd be dead

thanks

Took car to work this morning, was going to glass shop after lunch. After lunch, the star crack turned into a 12" crack, probably from the summer heat. Now need a new winshield. Cost to replace at dealership $1200. Insurance wanted third party to replace, but i insisted that replacement be at dealership, they agreed. My deductible $500.00. Oh well, I will just have to remember on my way back after repair is to take the long way home. Go around the road construction. Anyways...thanks to all of you for your support and encourgement.
