After a lot of discussions on this forum I can say you that the MY2009 has the new i drive. My 520d is produced in week 36, the first production week MY2009. NOT EXACTLY.

You can say that your car has the new controller (which I knew) but not the new iDrive. The new iDrive is not being installed in cars without the top version of the computer. Cars with the high version of the computer will NOT get the new controller until the market you are in moves to the new iDrive (and this varies by market).

we just need someone from Germany to chime in with some video or picture of the 09 idrive CCC in a 5 series. The new idrive controller was designed and intended for the new nav and idrive. the old idrive controller was perfect for the old idrive. therefore I believe we all get the new idrive and nav. will see in two weeks

also when you take a look at germany's wedsite and the us website the only vechicle that don't have the new idrive controller is the X-series( X3,X5 &X6) which are not getting the new idrive and nave until next year.

I don't see the logic here. What you constructed is a false syllogism.

Not true either as the new controller is also being used for Business Satnav.
