Actually they powdercoat the whole wheel and then machine the face down so that there are no waves in the seams between the finishes. Thanks btw.
BTW, here's a little flashback for ya. I remember several years ago when I first got my 545 I started looking on this forum for pics and modding ideas and I came across your old car with the black Maya wheels. I thought it looked hot and saved the picture. Bring back any memories?

Talk about a blast from the past. That started out the addiction. Btw I'm comletely gay for your wheels. The neez were a great pickup. I really love the whole look of your car. This is definitely the best incarnation of your ride.

Lately I've been contemplating switching out some of my exterior mods like the splitter, diffuser and trunk spoiler for Vorsteiner stuff but I think it's just cause I'm bored and getting the mod itch. haha Need to leave things well enough alone.
Speaking of Neez, there's a guy on M5Board selling a used set exactly like mine if you're interested.
Any other mods planned?

Yeah I saw them but I personally dont want to deal with the headache of refinishing them and 20's in NY for a daily driver suck. Too much of a headache I did it once and won't ever again. He's just hard to get a hold of and I've been trying to get the offsets from him to in case someone with a regular E60 would want them. Anyway, I'm not sure but you should check with member keang24 (Kenny) about the ACS carbon splitters. I know he had them on his car and was parting it out. Just not sure if it's been sold. If you do get the carbon splitters then you should probably go with the cf grilles as well (and probably cf side gills also). Or for a twist, how about painting the outer rings body color and the have the slats in black? Just a thought....
