I have been reading about your experiences with wheels on your old 530XI. It has been very informative. I have been searching for wheels for my car and have narrowed it down, I think. I'm seriously considering the VMR 710's. I know you had the VB3's and they are somewhat similar. You seem to be the resident expert.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you had:
19" 8.5 ET 40 on the front
19" 9.5 ET 45 on the rear.............................and mentioned that you added 5mm spacers on all.

The 19" 8.5 710's only come in ET 25, ET 35, and ET 40. Would the ET 35 be the same fitment as your ET 40 with the 5mm spacer in the front? I hate to assume anything. I don't want the front wheels to protrude too far.
The 19" 9.5 is available in the same ET 45.

The other thing is I see that the center bore is listed as 72.6. Did you have to use hub centric rings?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Here is the wheel.

No hub rings needed....72.56 is the BMW-sized hub. I had the same rims C had. You will need ET35 in front since I see no ET40 offered in this particular rim on VM's website or ModBargains.....and ET45 in rear, as you know. Your front will be good with no spacer, but the back could use a 5mm....maybe 10mm.

I love the V710's, but C doesn't. The rims have that lip around the edge which a lot of replica wheels also have. The CSL's have a perfectly smooth edge around the outer circumference.

C can help you more with the spacer size, since I didn't use them, however I def. could have pushed them out a bit more with the ET45 in rear...

My setup w/o spacer is ET35 on the front and it's perfect, I won't go any less and for the rear currently at ET40 but ET35 will be better any less will make it look strange.

Here are their side look http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=542355

ENstig8or, if you are considering VMR, you could drop a PM with Peter (VMRWheels) as he's a member on this forum as well. He could give you the exact info on those wheels that you need since he makes them.
