Alright I want to see if there is a big difference in these features... Is the sound a lot better on the premium package then the regular package? Is the sports package just new rims or does it really help the car? Is Active Cruise Control Standard in the 5 series? Do you like the comfort seats or is the regular seats ok for you guys?

In my opinion yes Premium sound is a LOT better than regular. regular is too muffled... the sounds are all blended in together... Of course there are even better systems out there but comparing just the two Premium is a must.

Sports package includes a lot more... another MUST get.

Active Rear Suspension
Stiffer springs
Comfort Seats
Better looking steering wheel. (*sports steering wheel*)

Active Cruise control is not standard... just the regular cruise control is std.

Get the sports package and you wont have to question if comfort seats are better or not. cuz they're included!

for some reason there isnt an option for the Active Cruise Control online or at the dealership... Is that a 3 Series thing only or what?

Yes

Sports pkg on bmw is a must IMHO of course.
