I went to IHOP today for breakfast, the place was packed so I parked in the block behind it Between 155th ST and 156 St on 35th ave in Flushing Queens today. When I got back to the car I noticed my side mirrors were folded in (which I did not do) getting closer in the damn mirrors on driver and passenger side were missing!!! Bastard disconnected them! I ended up buying a replacement set from bmw of bayside (cause it was the closest place) for ~600!!!! for damn glass?! I installed them and the driver side works however the passenger side is unresponsive and I noticed one of the wires the black was cut/broken! So anyone think the cut wire is what is causing the mirror from responding to tilt commands? Can I fix it myself or do I have to give more money to the dealer?
Dam sorry to hear that...gud luck tho!

The biggest complaint I have about this car so far is the tiny side mirrors. they are almost as useless as the ones on my R6! That said, it would still suck to have them stolen and have to replace them. I guess we should fold them up when parking on the street.

Hi guys, I have a set of 2 OEM side mirrors (glass only) for non M5 BMW E60. They are used but in descent condition. One of them has a tiny screw driver scratch. They are currently in Brooklyn, NY. Willing to let them go for $300.

These were taken off from a 2005 530i Jet Black.

Jusssssss kiddding....Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I say you get something a bit cheaper and pay the restocking fee.

I find them OK in HK. Maybe cos you have wider roads unlike small roads in HK

So after googling and waiting for good ol NYPD, to report my stolen mirrors.. i have come across this thread.
I seriously can relate to the rage that comes from within on the stupidness that is amoung us.

i just hope this was the only act of "random" vandalism to my car.

So as i sit and wait, i see that there are 4 wires, 2 are plugs and the other two seem to have been cut.. the cut wires that i am looking at.. should these have an end that i will need to replace as well?

take a picture of it. Lets see how they took it off. They break the mirrors housing off? or just take the mirrors?

Which is what gets me even more frustrated, some of most simple items on this car is quadruple bolted down. yet an item like this mirror is is looking somewhere in the 550 to 620 range to replace is as simple as a flat head to "pop" off.
Damn shame.
