fault after removing ipod adapter

so i have this annoying ceaking sound from my glove box and i figured it might be the ipod adapter (it was installed with zip ties). as i don't even use it, i figured i'd just take it out. but of course nothing is easy with the e60, and after taking it out i get a warning about 'SOS call system malfunction.' it seems as though there was some kind of blank plug that goes on to the MOST bus cable when there is no ipod adapter or cd changer connected? does anyone happen to know the part number or whatever? this is for a 2006 525i. oh, and its for sale if i can figure this out..

OP...did you figure out the issue? I am having the same issue after removing my CD Changer.

You'll need to re-connect and close the MOST fiber optic loop using part #4 from the pic:
