I dont listen to everything Clarkson says either, he hates on BMWs new design. I clearly dont agree, since I own an E60.

But you got to admit they could have done better on the rear of the Cayman. Its hideous. Those two lumps on either side of the car, what the hell are those. Puke

I love the 911 and Cayenne, the Boxtser is o.k . But the Cayman is not good looking at all, maybe if you squint your eyes.

I still like it. A lot! hahaha

Clarkson doenst hate the E60... he bought a M5... that bozo.

I got "bored" of my E60 too. After awhile the power is just power - and it doesn't change. After awhile (I felt) it was not worth the environmental damage.

There are literally no diesel sedans available in the US for 2007 (and well into 2008). Not just California. Ok - there is a MB CDI but that is it - in the less restrictive 40 states.

Not caring about MPG is a very selfish attitude in a world of limited resources and climate change. To say that hybrids are somehow more damaging to the enviroment than a usual gas vehicle is really ignorant. They are cost effective for those that drive a lot and really the best option ... in the US.

MPG as far as resources go but weight of nasty substances emitted for every unit of distance travelled is a factor too. Just sometimes this is indepenedent of MPG.

My Ride: On Order, due in May - 2007MY 530D SE, Silver Grey, Black Dakota, Auto, Brushed aluminium shadowline, sports seats / wheel, hi fi speakers, mats, space saver wheel and a few more bits
Default

I had a new 530D SE for 7 months and got bored (even after a remap to 600Nm of torque). Run flats and torque in wet was a pain. Auto box also boring

Swapped in Jan 07 for a 2005 E46 M3 Carbon Black with 6K miles on the clock (1 lady owner). Been on track days and had great fun!!!

Mpg not great (29) but I am using the train at the moment which kind of defeats the object of having a fun car

Lovet the E60 just did not need the space and could not afford the M5. Cant fault the M3, wish I could afford a new one!!

My miles are low so crap mpg are worth it.

I would get a 911 C4 if I had the cash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure I care... I totally do care and I would totally LOVE to have 100mpg and will jump on the bandwagon of alternative fuel ie hybrid or hydrogen or what not... but what irks me the most and makes me "Dont Care" is our own government doesnt care why should I? They care? Oh ya... they sure make it look like they care... but explain to stupid me WHY and WHAT is the reason behind taxing a car Gas Guzzler Tax if it gets below like ~21mpg and not an SUV that gets by far less MPG?

Surely if the Government wants to be unelectable all they have to do is do the sensible thing and heavily tax fuel at the pump.

End of this particular story.

Sorry to hear it's gone

So, what's next? How you getting around these days? I had a 335xi for a week, and I found the sport seats horribly uncomfortable for me, so I got rid of it for that reason alone. But it was one fun little sucker to drive. I am bored in my 530xi now compared to the 3. Hopefully when I get my H&R's on Friday and put my new wheels on, I'll enjoy it more. If I could do it all over, I'd get a 335i coupe & replace the sport seat with a standard one, which I sat in for a week with a loaner (AFTER I got rid of the 335xi!! ). That seat was 10 times more comfy for me. Anyway, the 335 is a rocket and much better looking than the sedan! I remember the first time I floored the car to pass someone, and afterwards I was like, "Holy sh&$, did I just blast off!" Good luck!
