Failure in Antenna Power Supply
Hi Guys, as usual I read this error in the car and I am wondering from the description, does the Antenna has its own power supply? I have observed that the car does not picks up all FM channel as strong ever since I have had it. And now I read this error (image attached). Does anyone know how to diagnose or fix it?

Thanks Buddy, and when I saw a response from you it clicked to me you were having a similar problem to your FM transmission. I briefly went through most of the PDF's, nothing mentions anything about a battery. Do your car throws the ABCA error?

No error, just no FM reception whatsoever. I haven't had a chance to tear mine apart yet but I have been gathering info.

Hey mate, here is what I pulled out of DIS for my error, bit stupid but that is BMW for you, they talk about battery and then tell you about checking cable connections. It might not help you but would indicate you are on the right path for your problem.

Interesting. Appears to be the first place to look for a solution. There is an amplifier there from what I understand which may be the power supply they refer to.
I have been putting off both that project and moving the electronics (MPM module) from below the spare tire up into the side of the trunk/boot.
Not only have I been busy with work (always a good thing) but it is summer here in Scottsdale, and summer here means temperatures equivalent of the surface of the sun . I keep warning the wife to not let liquids slide around in the trunk/boot (any spills immediately find their way to the bottom of the spare tire well and fry the MPM). But she doesn't drive the BMW much as she prefers her little SC430. I enjoy driving her SC430 too, but it is just not big enough for my 6'3" frame (and doesn't have the ARS of the sport suspension in the BMW).
Stay well. Cheers!
