That is about the same price I paid for mine. The shop I recommended is 5 minutes away from OP's house.

Thanks for much for the information. I hope that their Professional kit can code the folding mirror, do you think it may do that ?

I havent attempted that with that version. Those folks are very CS friendly and should be able to answer your question.

Just got replies from BT regarding to the coding of folding mirror and battery registration :

************************************************** ************************************************** *****
Thank you for contacting Bavarian Technic. Though the battery registration option is not technically a "Coding" feature, the registration feature is not yet supported for your 2005 E60.

Through the Coding option of the KGM unit, we have the ability to activate or deactivate the comfort opening and closing of the folding mirrors. The tool does not support any further options for the folding mirrors.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Best regards,

Dear Sir,

I would like to know that whether your Professional kit can code (1) battery registration, and (2) folding mirror? My car is 2005 E60 (M54 engine) with regular Auto transmission.

Based upon the coding matrix in your website, it seems to me that your Professional kit cannot do much coding (only a few) for E60. Is that a true statement ?

Thanks,

Ching-Ho Cheng

So for 2004 and 2005 E60, we need to go back to dealer for battery registration.

Thanks for the info. I don't believe that this is absolutely necessary. My 2004 has changed with OEM battery at an indy shop. And everything is fine since.

There are other members here have replaced theirs with other brands (non OEM), and most of them have no problems either. I just don't get the whole battery registration issue.
