I have been reading on this forum for sometime regarding the facelift and the MYxx production times. I know the MY07 was introduced in March here in the US. My lease for 545 is up in a few months and looking at the 550. I read in a previous post that in March 2007, there will be a facelift change and some other changes as well. I know that Germany introduces there new model year every September and that the 2006 was dubbed a MY07.

Will this faeclift be a MY07 or a MY08? Will production start in March or will delivery start in March? Will BMW introduce the MY08s in March again? Any insight will be appreciated.

P.S. This forum rocks!

Has rocked from day 5

The US model changing in March has nothing to do with EU MY (September).

BMW loves the US market and of what I have heard the new engines for the
E90 will be introduced in March next year.

Also the E60 should be facelifted at this point (with new engines etc).
Anything else would be really stupid of BMW - and they are not.

4 years sounds like a good mid life update, but BMW updated the engine last year so another up date on that seems like they didn plan ahead at all. They shouls add LED rear lights and by the looks of it they are gonna change the front head light to a more 3 series like which i wont mind as the current front head light is too japanese like for me.

You can extend the lease from 2 years to only a few months if you are waiting for a car. The new engine that is being speculated I think is the 300hp/300ftlbs twin turbo 3 litre six.

Thanks for all of your replys.

So the MY08's in the US will be introduced in March with the facelift along with the other changes. It wouldn't make sense to introduce these changes with the MY07s, right? Is this a valid assumption?

I just placed an order for MY07 525xi on the 1st of Oct. and the dealer said the facelift will be for next year, probably March.

Thanks for everyone who replied. I appreciate your insight.

I will soon go to my sales rep and order the 550 and see if he confirms that the facelift is in March 2007.

I spoke with my sales rep and he did conform that the facelift is indeed in 3/07 and that the 535i will be introduced as well.

Also, is a money factor of .0017 for my next lease with the following options: sports package, AS, navigation, cold weather package and sunshades?

Any input would be appreciated?
