Got back from the dealership today and got my car checked out. I was told I needed bushings for the front and was quoted $782. Of course I will be going to the Indy shop to get it done. How much should I be paying for the fix and what other things should be done when the car is in the air. I will also be getting my Oil pan gasket changed too which will cost me around $650 because I dont have the patience to do it myself. I have an 05 530i with 107,000 on the ticker.

replace the whole arm with the ball joint as well as bushing.
At this mileage I would do tie rods, upper and lower arms while they're at it I would replace the rears too.

+1, at that mileage there is no sense in replacing just the bushing. I just got done doing this, and I found that both sway bar link ball joints were separated as well.

If you have the time, tools, and space, it's not that difficult of a DIY repair.

I replaced just the bushing on my thrust rods with 115k on the odo. The ball joints were fine and I have a small press that makes replacing the bushing a breeze. So, your indy will be able to recomment entire thrust rod or bushing only and adjust the qoute accordingly. But, with labor involved, it probably is a wash.

FYI, best price I could find on Lemforder arms was with pelican parts. If you replace the arms, I highly recommend you use Lemforder replacements.
