I have the same problem. For some month ago I also get a scrap in the trunk after I had parking under a stair. I back the car in under the stair an walk away with the key in my pocket. After som meters I heard a `bupp`and look back..
There I see the trunk open and pushed up into the bloody stair. It cost me around $ 500 to repaint and fix the trunk.
Now I always be careful when I am leaving the car with carkeys in the pocket. Anyway I always look back to the car after leaving it, and hope the trunk is still lokked..

They need to make it so that once the trunk is open, you can just push the same button on the key and it will close. (same with closing windows and sunroof)

My Ride: E60 "Stripper"
Now C6 "Stripper"
I personally always have friends or relatives who stand too close or stoop over the trunk waiting for it to open.
A self closing trunk like the E65 7er has would be nice! I think you just gently push down on the trunklid til about 16 inches?

hey hey try putting a cup of coffee on the trunk lid and search for your keys to remotly open the trunk. Better hope no one is standing in front of the car.
