If there not on...You'll have to go to your dealer to have it done...

You have to go to the dealer and get a software upgrade to activate the eyebrows I think. Not 100% sure though.
Wait until some other people chime in

I have the same problem and all the threads here point to a visit to your local service center for an iDrive software upgrade, which pisses me off and makes no sense at all. Hopefully, you still have some time left on your factory warranty!

Apparently software upgrades can be dodgy if "the module" cant handle it. Then you will have to pay for a new "module" if your car isnt under warranty I suggest it isnt worth the risk.

in europe they turn on when you manually turn on the light, if you drive with the automatic daylight, they are dark

Really? I never noticed that. I was always under the impression with the auto lights selected, IF the system activated the main lights (ie it thinks the surrounding is dark), then the eyebrows come on also. I never realised this wasnt the case. Whats the point of having them on the car if thats the case?

IMHO, I think the front and back LEDS should be lit no matter what position the light switch is on or state the lights are in. If I selected DRL, then the halos with the eyebrow should activate with the rear red lights burning.

What a load of tosh all this is. Why does it have to be so complicated? BMW seems to have lost some of its credible logic design of the past IMO.

cheers
