I have initally chosen Silver gray although my wife is against it and wants Titanium gray instead.

We both agree on Black Sapphire, but we also know it's more difficult to maintain.

We both prefer silver on most cars, but not necessarily on the E60.

So what do you you prefer and why?

Right now it's a toss up for us

Oops, I voted for titanium gray. It should have been titanium silver.

My wife and I have the same discussion. Titanium silver seems to glow and is at least 100 times easier to care for. My wife originally wanted silver grey but after living with Titanium Silver, has come around.

Just don't get the light grey interior. It shows every little piece of dirt, kinda like black exterior paint. Will be impossible to keep clean if you have children. If you do get light grey leather (looks cool, is cool), get black mats.

One thing is for sure, you will have lots of fun in your E60.
btw, which options are you choosing?

Black Sapphirre, black leather interior, poplar trim wood.

Have had this combination since my first BMW, for me it represents
'business class' cruising. Interior always looks new and cant see the dirt or sratches
on the leather ( if any ). Exterior rocks when clean and polished!

Black is found naturally on earth....

Black is not a colour - it's power !!

I went with the Titanium Grey. The black was very tempting but I've had two black cars and they were impossible to keep clean in Chicago! The grey looks classic and does not show the dirt as much between washes. With the grey, the black Dakota leather and Anthricite trim look great. Good luck wit your choice.

Wow! Neck in neck with the exception of silver who slightly trails behind.

How difficult is titanium gray to maintain?

I just ordered Titanium Silver on my 545i. I had this same color on a 325i and loved it. Easy to maintain and love the color combination with the silver rims.

i voted for titanium gray even i have the silver gray . i wanted to get the titanium gray but i have to wait three months for that so i got the silver gray. i personally think silver gray is the easiest to take care . titanium gray is little darker but i don't think it'll make that much of a different. black is nice...only if you keep it shine all the time :'(.

Most certainly Titanium Gray for me. IMHO I think it's the classiest color for a car of this statute.

I have the Silver gray and for me it was primarily an issue of upkeep. Would have loved balck or orient blue, but here in New Orleans where we don't seem to go a week without rain, keeping those colors clean is impossible. More importantly, I will echo what Jimbo said about the gray leather and interior. With two small boys and even my own shoes, the dirt and scuff marks show very easily. Especially the floor mats. I tried the gray rubber mats, but they show every little heel mark, etc. Go with the dark interior.
