extended warrenty for 100K miles

My Ride: 2013 535i (White with Oyster Interior. Premium Package, Navigation, Technology Pacakge, Park Distance Control, and Rear View Camera)
When there is problem and need CIP upgrade, I heard it's not covered by extended warranty. This is a major reason I think extended warranty sucks, all 3 problems with my 1 year old e60 required CIP upgrade.
