Extended warranty on my 550i Dinan... worth it?

beesh, when it comes to extended warranties, some are good, some are not so good and some are just plain awful. It's not fair to paint with such a broad stroke and say that all extended warranties are bad. You obviously ended up with a bad one or at least one that is difficult to deal with.
mancho, I ended up purchasing an extended warranty from Route66 through PenFed. It covers me for 3years or 36,000 from the date I bought it. It's the Easy Street plan which is actually better coverage than BMW's extended warranty plan. It cost me $1995. Do some research on Route66 and you'll find that they are one of the best.
IMO, if you like the car that much then get an extended warranty and have some piece of mind during the remaining years you own it. The issue with our cars is that maintenance can get darn right costly when they approach 80k-100k miles and beyond. I plan on keeping mine for about 3 yrs but I'l most likely go past 36k miles before that.
