By the time I get home from work, I will have less than 100 miles until my original warranty runs out.
My car's been running fine but I'm worried about Murphy's Law and thinking of buying the ext warranty tomorrow.
My local dealer uses Easy Care and I'm looking at their 3yr, 36K add'l miles, $500 deductable package for about $3450. It was $3850 but the Finance Mgr is giving me $400 off.
Originally I was told by another person on M5Board that was selling ext warranties from Fidelity (I think) and he looked at my mods list and said the adjuster will most likely void my warranty once he looks at my car so I thought I had no option. But when I talked to the Finance Mgr at my local dealer, she said their service would be the one evaluating my car and making claims for me so there's no third party adjuster that needs to get involved. She read the policy and the only thing they explicitly cited was that they wouldn't cover aftermarket CDs, stereo equipment and navigation. My main concern is the tranny.
Anyway, my wife thinks I don't need it.
What do you guys think I should do? Need some feedback by tonight cause I have to make a decision by tomorrow morning.
Thanks everyone.

Are you saying some companies would only pay up to a certain amount?

Yes, get it. No brainer. Plus, what's $4K for a guy like you? That's pennies. Do it.
