Well its almost that time of the year where I must think about getting the extended BMW warranty. I have roughly 32,000 miles on my car (mostly highway
) and i just can't seem to think what is going to happen once i reach 50K.
Does anyone know how much the extended warranty would cost and how many more miles I would get on it?? And do you think its worth it?????? I called the dealership to get this info but they keep putting me on hold

I've asked that same question on this board but received no responses. Do you have up to very end of the mileage/year limit to buy the warranty? I wish I could get the answers...

Withouth checking for facts, I think the exteded warranty is like $2,500 for extra 2 years.
In my case, I would probably just sell my car in 3 years before warranty expires. I am not have very good luck with my car mechanically. My car is going in for the 4 time this year tonight. The field engineer is going to take a look on my engine tapping issue tomorrow. I am on my second transmission now. Maybe it's just my car.
You can buy the extended warranty anytime before the original expires. So I'd wait and see if you really want to keep your car longer than 50,000 miles.

Roll the dice. You are basically betting that $2500 that something is going to go wrong that costs at least that much to fix. The carrier of the policy is betting the opposite and is definitely going to make a profit. The odds are slightly against you.

and

two of the more informative
And call the dealer
Mine explained my options - since I have time to make decision I put on back burner and did not try to retain exact specifics except to know the difference between extended maintenance and extended warranty. Each is separate and distinct. Each with its own price. And u can shop for non BMW providers for both as well.
