thinking of getting the BMW platinum extended warranty to cover on my 08 535i 47K mi.
I was quoted around 3980.
any idea on the pricing.

That sounds like the "list price" ... I've seen some dealer promotions advertised on specific BMW dealer websites. It's not necessary to buy where your car is serviced. That said, has your car been problematic and do you think major repairs will be anticipated? If not, you might be better off banking the money. Or rolling the equivalent $166/month ($4000 / 24 months) into the lease for a new 2012 covered with warranty and scheduled service.

 

Thanks!!!! I will check on the dealer's website. the car is running OK, besides the HPFP!!! and the warranty on that has been extended!! I am thinking to buy it just in case something goes wrong~~~
