Extended Maintenance Recommendations
#1
Hi,
Our 06 E60 530xi is approaching 50k miles and we would like to buy extended maintenance to 100K. We do have extended warranty to 100k through CPO, but need the maintenance and would like to buy the BMW maintenance.
I know that twinkidneygrill.com used to sell it for about $1650 but it seems this option is no longer available. At the time of the car purchase, I believe our dealership quotes us something like $2400 or something much more absurd.
What would be the best way to get the extended maintenance for the best possible price without having to go through the dealer/bargaining hassle. We have like 49,200 miles so would like to do this quickly.
Thanks!

Why not ask your local BMW dealer? My dealer recently quoted me an extended maintenance plan for my old 2006 550i of $1,895 ... which takes it out to 6 yrs or 100,000 miles from the in service date of the car.

when is your cpo over? Should be 2011 right? Maybe you can try to go to the dealership and talk to the SA and see if they can do any maint. before the maint. program is over. I've heard that it is always up to SA discression whether you can do a service earlier.
The maint. program will only be good for another 2 years and if you do not for see a big maint coming up, maybe you won't need to buy it. Good luck.

I though they were valid up to 100K (50k->100K) the maintenance programs. I do have a maintenance coming up in 5k miles.
I hate talking to car salesman.

I am about 95% sure that your extended maint is only good up to your CPO is expired. Once your CPO is expired, so is your maint. program.
If I am wrong somebody correct me please.

I just called two three dealers, they want to leave a number, call you back, etc.. I just don't want to deal with all that sales sweet talk. I just need the price, thank you. No reason to waste time going to dealerships and hassling with them.

That is fine, my CPO is until 2012 or 100k miles. The car has about 3 years or 50k miles left on it. I want to match the maintenance with that. There was a guy selling from Atlanta over the phone/web.

Mine is at 35K miles, 6 months away from the end of maint and 2.5 years away from the expiration of CPO.

However, you should send emails to the finance managers at dealers near you. Let them know you want to deal with someone local and ask them for the best price. Good luck!
