My warranty runs out next September of 2011, I was quoted $2200 also. I think the quotes on the extended maintenance are gonna be different for most people depending on what company you obviously decide getting it through, the type of extended warranty coverage, and the amount of mileage on your vehicle when you renew your warranty.

I paid 1909. Since passing the original factory maintenance, 10K miles since, I've had 1 oil change, front brakes, and am getting the rears done in the next couple weeks. Being that the dealerships charge +$800 for a brake job, which you surely can get done cheaper, I thought it would be worth it. While I do like the fact that I didn't have to stress about maintenance for the last year and another year to come, in hindsight, I probably wouldn't buy it again as the cost of all the services will probably end up getting will be less than that 1909 price tag, even with the brake services. If you have a good independent, I would save my money. Good luck.

Thanks for the Info, I dont have a good independent... So I'm trying to do some math to see if its worth the $3K+ for the maintenance.

2 oil changes
1 brake flush
1 cabin air filter
spark plugs
maybe brakes
Peace of mind on clutch
Wipers hahaha

I heard good things about the M-shop in SoCal. I'll be taking mine there if anything needed. They only work on BMWs and Minis.

Great reviews on yelp.

I think $3k seems pretty high for 2 years of maintenance. As you said, you might not even reap all the benefits above in 2yr/50k. Perhaps you could call the M-shop and ask how much all of the above would cost you and compare? Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Anyone had a battery replaced under a maintenance agreement? Just bought a car with a 100k extended maintenance agreement. Car is in shop to have battery replaced and SA says not covered.

I was quoted $2850 for 24,000 more miles on my 2004 545i Sport with 74k miles from BMW Scottsdale. It was an exclusionary warranty as well. In other words, it covers 90% of everything you don't need, and 10% of everything you need. I told them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

I bought both engine and a/c belts for $30 (continental) from ECS Tuning and Autobahn installed for one hour labor... $85. Can't beat that.
