Already searched but most of the threads are old. Since pricing change constantly, can anyone recommend any BMW dealership in the US that sells the extended maintenance plan for a MY07 5-series at a good price? I had the same plan on my previous E46 M3 and paid a little over $1300, is the price for a non-M E60 less or around the same?

Did you shop around and got 2200 or was this price at your local dealer?

local dealer...i also didn't try to haggle that price either. i am not sure maintenance for $2200 is worth it. most maintenance items are things you can do on your own, such as changing the oil.

Looking back, I probably wouldn't get the extended maintenance again. I'd probably go with the extended warranty.
I just rolled 56,000 miles, and aside from the other HPFP and turbo issues, I really don't see how I'm going to make out on the $1,800 I paid for the extended maintenance.
According to my iDrive, I have 60,000 miles to go before I need front brake pads. So that'll be 116,000 miles on a set of front pads. Must be some wicked good pads. The rears have 29k left to go. Strange, but unless I get a light on the dash, I have to go with the iDrive. Upon inspection, both sets have plenty of meat left on the bone.
So basically, I paid $1,800 for 4 oil changes, a few cabin filters and some wiper blades.
I will make out on the deal if I can get some belts changed, or my clutch goes before 100k miles.
Anyway, this post made me think about it.

I'm already at 49K+ miles...is everyone saying that they will NOT be any more service required in the next couple of years beside oil and air filter changes? Is there any major service at 60K?

I just purchased a 2008 535i. The extended maintenance was $2,295.

Is it the maintenance plan negotiable like the maintenance? I'm looking into getting it for the M5. Its $3495!!!!
TwinKidneyGrill use to sell it online for much less than what dealers sold it for but I think they're gone now. Anyone know of a dealer willing to give discounts?
