I bought a lease returned 07 530i about 6 months ago from a private auction dealer. It had 59k miles and is way out of warranty. Is the car covered under any warranty (from BMW) at this point? If the lifters start ticking or interior starts peeling etc, is any of this covered by BMW NA? I haven't been to a BMW dealer wither so I don't have an SA. If there is a service bulletin that goes out, do I qualify for it?

if it was a lease return and you bought it from BMW then you would have certified pre-owned but since you bought it from a private dealer your pretty much out of luck unless they gave you a extended warranty with your contract. if not then everything is out of pocket for you!

I'm afraid that you are on your own, since the car is out of warranty like you said. But it doesn't hurt to bring it in and ask, the asking part is usually free.

alrighty thats what I thought initially. I don't have ticking or anything so I'm not too concerned. Every time I read a thread that said complain to BMW NA, I never knew if they had warranties or not.

I think you might still be covered on rust/corrosion. That's about it. 72 months/unlimited miles I think.
