I'm a BMW CCA member and bought a new E60 in January (my fourth BMW). I bought the car on January 6th, and filed the BMW CCA Rebate paperwork on January 16th. BMW NA verified my membership with BMW CCA on February 7th. That means that someone actually read the rebate request form and made an effort to verify my BMW CCA membership.
Yesterday, March 10, I received a letter from BMW NA stating that I did not include all of the paperwork required to process the rebate. I probably did not, and am not disagreeing with that statement. However, the form letter did not indicate what steps to take next. My concerns are:
- What do I do next?
- Now that I am outside the 60-day filing period, am I just plain screwed?
I've already sent an email to BMW CCA asking what my options are, but I was wondering if anyone here had experienced anything similar and was able to simply supply the missing paperwork? I've read elsewhere that BMW NA is very picky about the paperwork and looks for any reason not to give the rebate. Sitting on my paperwork for at least 30 days before telling me I did't include everything sounds pretty crappy.
Any ideas?

I would, as well, like to hear from anyone that has gone through the rebate process. My car will be here in a few weeks, and I'm hoping to process my rebate with BMW CCA. Can anyone share their experience?

RobertB - have you tried BMW CCA for advice? I think the phone number is 864-250-0022 Monday thru Friday.
I filed mine a couple days after delivery and I think I got the rebate a couple of weeks later. This was the 5th time through the process - all with no problems.
Good luck!

Good luck with it. Have you called BMWNA about it? I remember there used to be a number on the form that I had to fill out.
FWIW, I've done it three times and it quick and easy.

Thanks, everyone. I plan to call BMW CCA, but I got the letter last night. It was too late to call anyone. I was just wondering if someone else had come across this situation (incomplete paperwork). I'm sure that if I had filed the paperwork properly the first time, I'd already have the check in hand.
cheers

Thanks, again everyone! I'll be talking to CCA on Monday, and I'll head over to "that other site" and ring beewang. We haven't talked for ages.
