So there I was walking on 45th near Times Sq. this morning and I see a nice E60 on 172s. I immediately pay close attention to it because... well, its and E60 on 172s but the one thing catches my eye right away - it is not an M Sport, so naturally I'm curious to see what it's packing. Imagine my surprise when I walk around the back of it and see this:

I tried to take a couple of pics of the offsets and the fitments, but you can hardly see. It definitely looks like it

a. could use a drop
b. could use a fender roll up front

But this is physical evidence that this can be done.

Whoever this car belongs to, if you are on this forum, please provide some details on how it works - are you getting any rubbing? I'd imagine the front wheels must rub on the outsides. Rears look totally okay. And needless to say, the car looks

Well as far as fitment... Style 172 spec is ET32 rear & ET18 front so ... the rear will fit no problem ... the front kinda a bit to much ...
AFAIK best setup to use offset ET33 rear and ET35 front so maybe down to ET30 all around is aggressive enough ...

Nope, 19's. Its just not dropped, so wheels look smaller.

The fronts looked like they were poking out a slight bit. But trust me, NOT ANYWHERE AS BAD AS YOU'D EXPECT. Like I said in the OP, if they rub, they rub just a slight little bit and a proper fender roll will definitely take care of it.

The way the fronts were poking, it made me think the rear could even use some spacers!

haha well, yeah... almost

1. this is midtown - Times Sq.

2. I don't purposely wander through the streets looking for E60s, but when I something special, I always pay attention.

3. You are more than welcome, bro! NYC is your kinda town - just don't get in any trouble haha

Just had a thought:

If you have an Xi and you want to get M5 fenders and 172s, it will work. WOW if I knew think before I bought the Alpina kit, I'd have gone a WHOLE different way with my car

No, thats an XI all right. You can tell since you see the wheels are sticking out in the front beyond the fender (which is not supposed to happen for many reasons one being safety).
