My Ride: 550i 2009 Mod. with tints all around. Got Splitter and Spoiler coming. May do an exhaust.

I have had the 5 for 1 year. The first 11 month i had no front hood paint beaten up by sand or debris. The last month my 5 had many very fine sand or small small 1/64th of an inch marks. The primer white showed thru. I had it detailed by my local BNW CCA Club Body techs. . Does this always happen? and if so... should I invest in the 3M 3rd generation front templated clear film? It will cost me $ 400.00 and maybe a dewax. buff. and shine before I do it. thanks to all on this great forum Still wish I could get the softare to download pics. I tried some of the software, but still can not get the pics to upload? I even called the web master and emailed him several times. Thanks Dan

Can I ask if the CLEAR PROTECTIVE FILM a good idea to get for the 5? or is detailing every year the way to go? Thanks

...listening into this thread to see what a dark color rod is ...

I looked down at my rod (which doesn't get much sun) but it isn't dark coloured. My wife just said that if it was maybe it would be more of a rod. Wow, trifecta. sexist, sizist and racist in one comment.

Do you have to have images like that in your sig ? It's pictures like that which make me think I should throw out all my cameras and ditch photoshop because I just can't ever get that good.
