So the 51k carI have negotiated to 48500. If I want Euro Delivery how does it work....
Do I get a further discount on the car ?
I pay for tickets the tours ?
There is an ad on the BMW site on Lufthansa offering 2-1 Tickets for European Delivery ?

Go to www.bimmerfest.com/forums and then read the posts in the European Delivery forum. You will learn there everything you need to know. In the "Ask-a-dealer" forum are .pdf's with the invoice pricing for Euro-Delivery. Some dealers will negotiate up from the ED invoice price; so you can really get a good deal on the total price.
You have to pay for airfare and lodging and all trip expenses. The Lufthansa deal is only good through 12/31/04, unless they extend it.
Drawbacks include having to pay for the car 30 days prior to Munich pickup and the interminable wait to get the car back in the states once you drop it off.
ED is by far the most awesome way to buy a car. I did it with my 545 and had the best time. See www.thebelkfamily.net/travel for my travel diary and picture gallery.
Do it, you won't be disappointed.

Maybe it wasn't clear, but you do get 7% off the list price to begin with, and then whatever you negotiate with the dealer as well. They pay the shipping back, plus collision insurance and theft insurance, as well as get plates issued to you and the car.
It's a blast and very memorable way to get a car. Go for it if you enjoy travel.

When I looked into it, it looked like the price was about 7% less than the US MSRP(same as qdavis stated above).
Someone created a spreadsheet for the MY 04 that you could compare US and ED prices (MSRP & Invoice if I recall). I have it at home, so could post it later if you want.

My Ride: MY05 545i Jet Black with Auburn interior. SMG, Logic7, Sport Package, Comfort Seats, Navigation.
I believe you can save tons of money by doing ED.
My car semi-fully optioned with nav, logic 7, prem. seats, sport package has US MSRP of $64,595 - how much discount you can negotiate (usually $1,000-$2,500) + 8.25% tax and 1% registration = $67,838.79 - $69,477.54
ED invoice is $55,295 + how much you want your dealer to make (usually $1,000-$2,500) + 8.25% tax and 1% registration = $61,502.29 - $63,141.03
Cost of trip to Munich = $500 air fare + $65/day lodging + $40 food/gas
Get to see Dingolfin = Priceless
Now, feel free to change the variables to see if it makes sense.
