Euro Spec or US LCI tails?
I like the US spec tails much better in this case. The 18 (maybe off by a couple) LEDs in Amber is just too much. The Red however looks classy and jives with the rest of the taillight.

Amber all the way.........you only use your turn signals when you turn...you might as well stand out from the crowd! Make the guy in the 5er behind you wonder why his turn signals are red!!!
I suppose the euro spec ( yellow blinkers ) would differentiate your e60 from other US models by todays standards. However, since 91 we've been altering the yellow, and amber turns in the rear ( and sometimes in the headlights) on hondas, acuras, nissan, supras to RED or other cop magnets colors which were considered "illegal" at the time. Clear corners, clear tailights, were all the rage as it allowed personalization of colors simply by changing a bulb. Even retrofitted projectors were once considered illegal if it wasn't for the SEMA action group. It's odd to me that after all this lobbying by the sema action group to get the amendments changed to allow for a select "other" few colors to be Ok'ed, that US spec BMW's came out with the red blinkers. Which I think looks GREAT from the factory. Yellow or red blinkers is realy a subjective opinion. At the end of the day, "beauty" is in the eyes of the beholder.

Amber is safer in my point of view... I hate when I'm just passing someone by their blind spot and I see a red light come on their tail light, I cant tell right away if its a brake light or blinker... if its amber you KNOW its a turn signal and can immediately prepare for the mofo just in case they turn into you.

I first purchased the euro spec then swapp with a member for the us spec I think the red turn signals look more update then the amber signals. Most us cars have amber blinkers
Side note : the e46s with LEDs are amber also
