I got a call from the shop manager today and the estimate as of today is a little over $26K. He needs to look over a few more things and will have the final estimate completed and sent to AllState on Monday. He did state that if repairs were done, it would take a few days to get the parts (I would expect longer) and about 30 days to complete the repairs (which sounds a little too good to be true to me). As of now, the estimate stands at about 50% which falls pretty short of the 80% "needed" to total as per AllState on a new vehicle.
Thoughts? Suggestions? At the very least... there is some progress.

Can you add your updates to the original thread, as opposed to new ones, so that all of us (and new readers) can follow the story start to finish?

I just got my '08 535 back outta the shop for electronic issues .. and the same night .. a deer hit me :-(!! Took it back to work that Friday and the estimated damages are around $4500. I didnt have my camera so i havent taken pics yet .. but the car is at the plant, so i prolly wont get it back before they fix the damages! From what i could see, the hood is a lil bent in the front, broken headlight and foglight .. and the bottom front bumper is smashed. :-(
I think they are going to know who you are now.

What difference does it make if "they" know who I am? I have posted the facts and nothing more. I do not think my situation is unique. I am simply voicing my concerns with the process. I do not think any of you would be happy about a brand new car having nearly $30K of repair work done.

Easy there big guy! Notice I quoted BMWfan05, he has since edited his post. I was responding to him in regards to another post of his, not you. I know you are stressed because of your situation but geez...

hey maybe you should get a lawyer to help you out

i wouldnt want to keep a car that cost that much to repair,

and your car wont be the same at all

just be hard with them, about not wanting to get the car fixed sinces your pretty upset about the repair of a brand new car,

you paid for a new bmw, why end up with a wrecked bmw,
