By comparison, that Ferrari only has about 400HP, and the ESS Supercharged M3 probably has close to 550-575HP, whereas the GT2 is pushing nearly 800HP. What would you guys expect?

It doesn't look like they were racing at all. Next time to avoid confusion, try lining up next to each other and honking to three. Here's an example:
