Error message - Driving Stability & Start-off assistance

My Ride: 2008 535i, Premium, Nav, Ipod
Last couple of days I had the Driving stability and Start-off assistance error message apear on i-drive. Second time it happened was right after taking a righ turn. Has anyone else had this message before? My car just came out of warranty (2 months ago). The battery was changed last december so I don't think it is low battery that causing it. Any ideas.

I just went through this, exact same messages, and also induced while turning the steering wheel. It turned out to be the SZL - which is part of the steering wheel angle sensor setup. Fortunately for me it was covered - it was a $900+ fix for part, installation, and re-programming of the car. I imagine an Indy shop could do it for less.....hopefully.
Also check your power steering fluid, I guess this could also cause similar warnings. You can get Pentosin fluid NAPA.

OP - can't you just buy extended warranty NOW? Most dealers don't need to look at the car - they will just need a key-fob print out and it can even be done over fax. Might be better than spending a few hundred for this, and then more for something in the future.
